2019/2020 Voting Structure Task Force

  • by

Over the past few years there have been several changes amongst the Canadian Real Estate Association’s (CREA) board and provincial association membership. While these are welcomed developments, they have a direct impact on CREA in terms of the votes member boards and provincial associations are allocated at CREA assemblies. As a result, questions have been raised as to whether CREA’s current voting structure is fair and sustainable. A Voting Structure Task Force was formed to examine this issue.

On this site you will find:

  • The minutes from Voting Structure Task Force meetings and agenda packages.
  • A white paper intended to set the stage for a constructive dialogue on what, if any, changes to CREA’s voting structure are needed to ensure CREA remains an effective national association with a sustainable voting structure.
  • Other background material that summarize this challenging issue.

This white paper summarizes the work of the Voting Structure Task Force to-date and poses a series of questions we invite you to provide feedback on.
